We'll have the laser up and running for small batch demonstrations, make convincing statements in response to questions, and have some of our work out to get a sense of the materials we use on a regular basis. Heck, you can just swing on by and ask about the process of converting a 1950's cinder block bunker into a safe work place.

Please note that this is an alleyway entrance between Galapago St and Fox St just off of 6th. We're about 9 blocks away from Ink Lounge's studio.

I'll talk about the transition I made from theatre designer to owning my own biz, how owning a laser is a 21st century tool that still requires craftsmanship in executing the work, and why I work almost exclusively with prototyping and small batch production.

Tickets available HERE.

Artist Dario Robleto will present a performative lecture expanding on the artist's extensive research into the heartbeat. Part storytelling, part original research, and part rare sound archive, this lecture weaves together topics as diverse as the earliest attempts to record the heartbeat as sound and image, the heartbeat and brainwave recordings currently on a probe heading for the edge of the Solar System, pre-Edison sound recordings, and recent developments in the history of the artificial heart. The result is a creative intertwining of multiple histories of human exploration, in both outer and inner space.
This event will include a short post-lecture reception with the artist.
